As android technology improved, bounty hunters had to apply a higher intelligence to claim or catch them. To see the difference between androids and humans they take note on important responses, from questions that bring out an emotional response, usually including animal subjects and themes. Androids are not sympathetic, their responses are either lacking detail or lacking emotion, and noticeably slower than a human's. The simpler Boneli Test, used by another police department, measures the reflex-arc velocity, but is very painful to the subject, as well as the results taking longer to produce. This test is sparingly used because of the chance of human encounter in these tests. If a human is in this test where the reflex-arc is used, the human will be injured.
